Foster Furcolo Jr.

A native of Massachusetts, Foster graduated from Suffolk University Law School in 1975 and started his legal career as a prosecutor in Cambridge, Massachusetts, trying district court misdemeanor non-jury cases and superior court felony jury trials. In 1978, he moved to California, passed its bar exam, and began his civil litigation career with Hillsinger & Costanzo, a well-known insurance defense firm in Los Angeles. After becoming a partner with the firm, he moved to San Diego to manage one of its branch offices.

In 1996, John Walsh and Foster formed Walsh & Furcolo LLP, in San Diego. In 1999, Foster became licensed in Las Vegas and opened the firm's Nevada branch. In August of 2009, the firm changed its name to Walsh McKean Furcolo LLP.

Foster is an AV-rated attorney with extensive experience in the defense of civil litigants in professional liability, products liability, insurance coverage, and general liability matters. He has handled complex litigation, in both federal and state courts, including aircraft accidents, oil refinery fires, crane accidents, and construction defect cases. He has extensive experience in the defense of doctors in medical malpractice cases. He has successfully defended innumerable personal injury cases, including premises liability, motor vehicle and industrial accidents. He has acted as court-appointed arbitrator in over 100 cases. He has also served as a fee dispute arbitrator for the San Diego County Bar Association.
