Will Small is a native of North Carolina, and grew up in Kitty Hawk. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned his B.A. in both Journalism and Political Science in 2003.  While at UNC-Chapel Hill, Will was a student journalist and worked with the athletic department's communications office.

After a stint as a reporter for the Outer Banks Sentinel in Nags Head, NC, Will attended law school and obtained his J.D. in 2007 from the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill.  During law school, he worked for the Office of University Counsel for UNC, the Fair Elections Legal Network in Washington, D.C., and served as Articles and Notes Editor for the First Amendment Law Review.

Will passed the July 2007 California bar exam and was admitted to practice in California and the Southern District of California.  He joined Walsh & Furcolo as an associate in January 2008.  He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association.  Will enjoys running, tennis, reading and watching college basketball and baseball.
